Even Kids Know The Dish Network HD DVR 921

One morning a mother walked into her little daughter Jessica’s bedroom.

“Jess, honey. You’re going to be late for school,” implored the mother.

The second grader put on her best wounded kitten face and replied, “I don’t feel well mommy. I think I better stay home from school. I’ve got a sore throat and my tummy hurts.”

After finding no signs of a fever the mother explained to Jessica that she was going to run down to the drug store to pick up some cough drops, juice and medicine for her little baby.

“I’ll make you some soup as soon as I returned,” the mother reassured her daughter.

Upon the mother’s return home she found her daughter planted on the couch with her eyes transfixed on the television and the remote firmly gripped in her hand. Little Jessica no longer showed any signs of illness and appeared to be quite enjoying her time with the newly installed Dish Network satellite television.

“Feeling better, hon?” the mother asked curiously.

“Nope. I think I might have come down with something serious. You better call the school and tell them I’ll be out the whole week,” Jessica explained. “Can you grab me a soda from the fridge, mommy?” as she began scheduling the DVR to record the episodes of early morning cartoons for the week.

Mother began to get wise to her daughter’s plans.

“You know mommy this new Dish Network HD DVR 921 Receiver is the best thing since Beanie Babies. Can I get one in my room?” begged little Jessica.

“Well you know at no extra charge we can get DVR in up to four rooms in our household and…”

“Yeah, yeah mom, I know all about it. And we can record up to 180 hours of programs with the built-in digital video recorder and play them back whenever we want,” Jessica explained. “And look at this, I can watch Dragon Ball Z and the Powder Puff Girls at the same time with the ‘picture in picture’ feature.”

“Uh huh,” said the mother as she crossed her arms and began tapping her foot.

“Wow!” exclaimed little Jessica. “Have you ever seen the Power Puff Girls kick so much butt in high definition TV? It’s like watching TV for the first time!” Jessica turned to her mother. “Mommy please say we don’t ever have to go back to regular old cable TV.”

Jessica’s mother sternly looked at her and replied, “Jess I promise we’ll never give up Dish Network satellite, DVR or HDTV, and we will never go back to that old cable TV, but you are going back to school immediately.”

After much protest the mother dropped little Jessica off at school and returned home once again. She rushed in, settled down on the couch, picked up the remote control to the Dish Network HD DVR 921 receiver and scrolled down to the recorded episode of Oprah she had scheduled on the DVR menu.

“I thought I was never going to get her off that remote.”
