Dish Network Distraught Call from Daisy

Dish Network Distraught Call from Daisy

Hi! This is your Dish Network friend, Leslie. One day I received a distraught call from Daisy. Daisy lived in San Francisco and, in-between sobs, she said that she had just gotten married to a dashing young man named Miguel.

Initially, I thought she wanted to talk to me about her marital woes and I was ready to refer her to a counselor. Just as I was about to give her my “thank you for calling Dish Satellite , but it seems you have the wrong number” spiel, she haltingly told me that she wanted to thank Dish Network for the wonderful service that we had provided her through the years. This statement naturally piqued my interest, so I asked why she was sobbing.

She said that Miguel was just recently promoted but the job entailed that he work at the main office in Puerto Rico. She then said that she would be moving to Puerto Rico with her husband and would no longer have access to Satellite TV. Phew! I thought she was about to unload something much more difficult for me to handle.

I told Daisy to stop crying because she didn’t need to part with Dish Network TV.

“What? Are you kidding?” was her incredulous reply.

“Of course not Ms. Daisy!” I replied. “Dish Network is not only available to subscribers in the Continental United States, but also provides programming to cities in Puerto Rico!”

There was silence on the line. Then I heard her giggle … tentatively at first, until it became stronger and more infectious. In between giggles, she told me that she was glad that Dish Network was also available in Puerto Rico and immediately asked how she could subscribe.

I outlined the procedure to her. Afterwards, Daisy sounded happy and appeared to look forward to her Puerto Rican sojourn even more. She thanked me profusely; I had a difficult time actually ending the call!

I couldn’t stop thinking of her reaction, and knowing that I had somehow brought a bit of joy to someone’s life made my day better.

Here’s to more Dish Network experiences!

Signing off, Leslie.
