Gossiping Gail - Another Directv Phone Rep

Hi there, I’m Gossiping Gail. Everyone here at the office calls me that because I have a tendency to gossip about the weird and often hilarious phone calls I receive in my line of work. I’m a systems rep for Direct TV and I’m one of the girls you talk to when you call to ask a question.

I’ll tell you one thing, there are some seriously odd people out there in satellite TV viewer land, and it seems that I get my fair share of the weird and whacky phone calls. You really won’t believe some of the questions I get asked when I’m working. I guess some people just aren’t technologically inclined. Other people, well, I don’t know if ‘not technologically inclined’ is fair-some people just don’t think.

I finally decided to keep a journal of the phone calls I receive while working as a Direct TV rep-some of them are too funny not to print. That way, I can keep my ‘Gossiping Gail’ nickname but share my funnies with the world too, in print.

Never worry, all names have been changed to avoid embarrassing those who really didn’t think before they spoke and for those who are really just not technologically inclined. I really don’t want to embarrass anyone needlessly. If you read your telephone conversation and Direct TV question here, that’s enough for me. No one else needs to know-it can just be our little secret.

Well, here are a few of my favorite Direct TV phone calls that I’ve received that I jotted down soon after they happened. Thus, my stories are so fresh you are bound to get a good laugh! Hey, at least now you know when you call to think before you speak lest you end up in my column!
