Wife Uses Direct TV to Get New Shoes

My husband is a penny pincher – right down to the last penny. So when I told him I fell in love with a pair of Manolo Blahniks, he said it was just plain lust – and lust is a deadly sin.

After several days of scheming, I knew my chance at getting my darling stilettos had come. My husband was complaining about the ridiculous monthly prices and poor quality of our cable TV, and said that maybe we should switch to Direct TV. Without hesitation, I volunteered to take care of things for him. He wondered why I was so eager and I simply replied because I love him. Little does he know, though, Satellite TV Providers offer enough deals, rebates and freebies that I could buy my shoes with all the money we’d save!

I worked fast to find the best options and ordered quickly in case my husband changed his mind. I couldn’t believe the great deals I found! Not only was the installation free, but we also received a Direct TV DVR with a mail-in rebate. The deals didn’t end there. At a lower monthly price than cable TV, Direct TV offered programming packages that gave us more channels than before. Best of all, we were able to enjoy a high digital-quality viewing experience, which means no more fuzzy pictures! To top things off, with the programming package I chose, we also got 3 additional rooms hooked up with Satellite TV for no extra cost.

My husband was so ecstatic about the lower monthly prices, more channels and better quality that he said he could live with paying for the installation, DVR and additional room hook ups.

So I told a fib, but my husband is happy and I have my stilettos.
