Dish Network Dish - Saves Mans Life

Funniest Story Ever.

For this first entry, I feel it appropriate to start with a funny satellite TV story: a real side splitter from the journals of La La La Lynda. So, for that one, I would really have to go with the man who called Dish Network about a repair problem after he damaged his satellite during a roof cleansing project on Saturday morning.

This man lives in the northern part of the country, so why he decided it would be a good idea to clean his roof on a blustery, winter day in his pajamas, I will never know. In any event, there he was, scrubbing away in his blue, flannel pajamas, with his red and yellow polka dot underwear underneath (a gift from the Mrs.), when a gust of wind blew across the roof and knocked him off his feet. Seeing that his roof was slanted, as he going down at an angle, the pocket of his pajamas caught on the edge of the Satellite TV dish. However, a momentum kept him going, they tore right off and he was sliding. When he got to the edge, he managed to crawl back up a bit, only to begin sliding again.

This time, however, he was able to catch the edge of the satellite TV dish. And there he stayed for the better part of 30 minutes, screaming for help on the roof.... in polka dot underwear. When his neighbors came home, they heard his cries and upon seeing him, broke up into a fit of laughter (someone did run to get a ladder, however). He got down safely (and quite embarrassed) and although his Dish Network TV dish was slightly damaged, it was still standing. When he phoned me and told me what happened, I didn’t laugh right then and there. I sent his call over to the Dish Network service department, where they assured him they would be out to fix his dish within 24 hours.

After-wards, as I logged this entry for my journal, I laughed so hard that tears started running down my face and the soda I was drinking came out through my nose. I don’t know what was funnier, the polka dot underwear or the fact that anyone would think it a good idea to attempt a roof cleaning on a windy, winter day in their pajamas...while wearing polka dot underwear.
