Some Dish Network Customers Love to Call Tech Support
Sometimes I feel like I am a representative for a hotline established for lonely people instead of a representative for Dish Network. You know, at least once a week I get regular calls on the line from the same people again and again looking for someone to talk to -- not about satellite TV, but about anything in general! Oddly enough they aren’t calling to talk to me about the great services that Dish offers. Oh, they start the conversation off with a question, but in the end we always end up talking about their favorite shows and what they do in their free time.
They even know me by name when they call me. “Hey Danielle, what’s new on the tube?” they’ll say. Or sometimes they say, “Danielle, do you know how many different representatives I had to talk to before I could get to you?” Usually the same people will call me every week and ask me what’s on TV this week -- even though they know full well that Dish Network service offers a free guide for all of their programming. I don’t mind though -- the people that call who just want to chat with someone for a few minutes are the friendliest people around and as long as we talk about satellite TV just a little my bosses remain happy! After I tell them about all the great shows coming up on Pay-per-view and the various movie channels we offer, they talk about their week and then they are off to watch an array of terrific shows!
