Direct TV Customers Have Christmas Spirit
Hello. Direct TV Rep Taryn Tyler here with some stories to share. I was taking calls one day just before Christmas, answering questions about Satellite TV and helping customers with issues. After I came back from lunch, I logged on to the system and my phone rang. I answered with the standard greeting:
“Thank you for calling Direct TV, how can I help you with your service today?”
The woman’s voice on the other end was pleasant. “Hello there, honey! I have a request that I’m hoping you can help me with”.
“I’d be glad to help you with anything I can, Ma’am. Is there a problem with your Satellite TV service?”
“Oh no, no. Nothing like that at all. I was just wondering if you had an old satellite dish there somewhere that doesn’t work anymore.”
“Excuse me, Ma’am?
She went on to explain that, it being close to Christmas, she had dressed up their Direct TV satellite dish to look like Santa Claus, and she would like to put another TV dish right next to it so she could make that into Mrs. Santa Claus.
“We really don’t have any old satellite dishes here, Ma’am, but may I suggest that you use some wire and cloth to make something that looks similar to a satellite TV dish, and then dress that up?”
“I’ll do just that. Thank you so much!”
“You’re welcome, Ma’am. And please be careful putting anything up on the roof.”
“Oh don’t worry, sweetie, my husband does the roof thing. I just create”.
“Well then happy holidays, Ma’am, and thank you for calling Direct TV”.
