High-Tech World of Satellite TV

It is amazing just how quickly our world is becoming our next door neighbors through the high-tech world of satellite TV.

For instance, within two years China is said to be planning to launch two broadcasting satellites to some of the countries most remote areas. French-made China satellite 9 is schedules to join Chinese developed SinoSat 2 satellite possibly as early as next year. A contract has recently been signed in Beijing to place ChinaSat 9 into orbit in the second half of 2007.

These satellites would no doubt be very beneficial for the 2008 Olympic games in Beijing, not to mention the revenue generated as a revenue of
at least 15 billion yuan (US 1.8 billion) each year! That is a meager charge of 1 yuan (US 12 cents) per channel for one home.

World-wide satellite is making communication easier than ever before. With the massive capabilities of these new satellite systems which weigh about 4.5 tons at liftoff, and a lifespan of about fifteen years, approximately two hundred channels can be received! Satellite companies are all but promising one hundred percent reliability of broadcasting services for their customers.

The big world we have known all these years is becoming smaller by the day thanks to the high-tech world of satellite TV!
