The DirecTV HD DVR Plus, combines the technology of Digital Video Recording (DVR) with a high definition (HD) tuner and a standard definition (SD) tuner. This device also has an over-the-air tuner, increasing its viewing and programming flexibility.  Further, DirecTV HD DVR has an ability to operate any two tuners simultaneously, enabling users to record two programs at the same time while watching a previously recorded program.
